I have opened escrow and drove by to show friends what will be my new home in 20 days and the listing agent was holding open house so we went in and pretended to be interested and she tried to sell us the home, is this legal? We did not agree on back up offers in contract. And there is no contengencies!!

The listing agent can hold open houses on the property as long as the sellers agree to do so. Until the moment you close your mortgage and pay the sellers, the property is not sold. It is not unusual for sellers to desire ‘back up buyers’ in the event that the pending deal fails to close at the last minute, and that happens FAR more often than you can imagine.
