Ok so i really need to know if you think this is a realistic career goal. I want to be a teacher and a realestate agent. I would work from 7 AM-4 PM everyday as a teacher. I would probably work as a realestate agent every other day during the week in the evenings and on Saturdays. I would grade papers during the day so I wouldn’t have to worry about that either. I also know someone who works as a nurse and a realestate agent. So what do you think? Realestate would also not be like a main focus. Maybe sell a couple houses here and there but it’s not going to be major. Just help me out please…?

Ok, so I am answering, dont forget about your Best Answer promise.
I was a real estate sales man and a office manager so I have some basis for my answer.
First, your goal is not really realistic. Your Teaching job is not the barrier, its your percieved schedule. You want to pick and choose your hours of employment as an agent. It doesent work that way and no broker will take you, or at least take you seriuosly. If you embark upon this career choice you will have to work as a teacher as stated but then, when you finish, you turn on the cell phone and wait. You may need the freedom to take short callls while you are working as a teacher. The real estate game is about appointments, show houses, list houses. You are going to have to know something about your market,houses in general, and you have to show buyers and sellers confidence in your knowledge. Dont tell them you are dabbling in their future. In your view, sell a couple houses here and there is pretty vague, if you mean within a year, maybe its possible as you described.
Anyway, get the tests out of the way first, see if you even like it. Good luck.
