Can you take pictures at an open house?

I’m going to start house hunting for my first home. I would like to take pictures of each home so I can review them later. Is that normal to do, or do I have to ask permission at every showing?
To Amy: no, they don’t – that’s the problem. Most homes online (for my city anyway) have pics of the outside, but not the insides. I suppose it would be rude if the current owner still lived there, but most of these places are vacant.

Ask permission at every showing. If you ask nicely, and tell the agent that you’ve looked at a lot of homes and want to be able to keep the details straight, they will probably give permission. Especially if the house is empty.
