What’s the etiquette regarding a gift for the host? Is anything expected for this type of thing? Sorry, I am a complete homebody! :)

Real Estate Marketing Tips – Beyond MLS..? Youtube? http://www.openhousereviews.com/open-house-mls/real-estate-marketing-tips-beyond-mls-youtube/ http://www.openhousereviews.com/open-house-mls/real-estate-marketing-tips-beyond-mls-youtube/#comments Mon, 10 May 2010 16:30:47 +0000 Admin http://www.openhousereviews.com/open-house-mls/real-estate-marketing-tips-beyond-mls-youtube/ Hi. I’m looking for ideas to get people INTO the house I am trying to sell. It has only been on two weeks, but with three kids and having already bought another house, I would like – no, LOVE – for it to sell quickly. It seems to be priced about right, is beautifully staged and landscaped, yet there has been very little traffic (7 couples in 2 weeks). I live in Bergen County, NJ and the house is listed at about 1.5M in a town where there are 86 homes on the market over 1 M.
I have done all I can do with the house but I am wondering what kind of marketing tips might be relevant in this market beyond the usual ( I have an agent who has listed it MLS, local newspapers, broker’s open house). My agent really has not come up with any other marketing ideas. I have not done a public open house as I have heard that those rarely result in sales, particularly in my area. Have thought about Youtube and Craigslist – what do you think? Any other ideas?
